    Biaxin plaquenil lyme

He reported a history of tick bite and rash in 2002. The knee pain and other symptoms rapidly improved over the next two weeks. He received a short course of antibiotics at that time. After two weeks he reported that the antibiotics were causing nightmares and insomnia. Then one week later he complained of confusion and unsteadiness.

We are going to see Dr. K in Connecticut for lyme neurology this week. I am very excited because I have been told that he frequently changes the meds and likes the Biaxin/Plaquenil combo. So I am hopeful to have her try this. He also said that he sees a lot of children that cannot stand or walk due to lyme, and he gets them back in shape. The Biaxin/Plaquenil success may have been treating Lyme though. There are some people that have gotten rid of babs with Bactrim and Biaxin though. Maybe Plaquenil could be added to that too check interactions. I was probably lucky that I had not had lyme symptoms as long as some, so when I took antibiotics I was able to tolerate barely the high doses of antibiotics from the beginning. I would do it different though if I was to do it again. First I was on tetra and then I was on plaquenil for about 5 1/2 months. This was along with biaxin.

He continued to improve rapidly once more with a cessation of neurocognitive symptoms. When I saw him initially he complained of knee pain and swelling, fatigue, generalized arthralgia (joint pain), numbness and tingling and an irregular heart beat. I diagnosed a "brain Herx." I added Plaquenil back, as well as Welchol, presumptively to remove "neurotoxins." I also reduced the dose of Amoxicillin and Minocin.

Plaquenil can cause eye issues, good to get regular eye check up if you take it for a few months or more. which I have not done. yet Sounds like you got everything covered with the Biaxin and the Doxy, probably a good combo. I hope those antibiotics help you make some progress. I was taking biaxin once a day could not manage twice a day for two months and then switched to doxycycline for two months. I am also making and drinking lyme tea made from a decoction I make of sarsaparilla, red root, cat’s claw and Japanese knotweed, three times a day. Anonymous said. Hi Doctor, I am a lyme patient with a llmd in Rockville. I am on minocycline and azithromycin alternating and now they want me to take Bactrim for bartonella. just curious about your opinion on this regimine. i tested positive for lyme in october and was given doxy by my pmd, but had a bad reaction to that severe head pressure, then put on cefuroxime with yet another bad.
