    How to say plaquenil

I took the drug as a treatment for sarcoidosis and one of the side effects is a reduction in white blood cells, which is what has happened to me. Plaquenil is used in the treatment of sarcoidosis but its main use is in the treatment of malaria.

How were your symptoms prior to the Plaquenil. It's so easy to forget that you're feeling like a 5 on the pain scale when previously you were a 3. Talk to your doctor BEFORE you do anything. He or she may want to start you on another drug, give it a chance to work, and THEN stop the Plaquenil. Plaquenil was one of the first treatments i had too - again i was told it needed to be used with other meds. I think i had it for a year and then moved onto more 'tough' stuff. I have just started taking it again as now have drug induced lupus and as yet can't say its working. I keep trying tho - and realise the only way to control this beastly. Apr 10, 2019 Plaquenil is sometimes given only once per week. Choose the same day each week to take this medicine if you are on a weekly dosing schedule. Take Plaquenil with a meal or a glass of milk. To prevent malaria Start taking Plaquenil 2 weeks before entering an area where malaria is common. Continue taking the medicine regularly during your stay and for at least 8 weeks after you leave the area.

For the four years that I took the drug, my eye sight never bothered me and bi-annual eye tests revealed no changes. One of the side effects of taking the drug is that it affects eye sight, and eye tests, especially tests need to be done every six months.

After a week of it, I asked the rheumy if it could be split and he said it didn't really matter when I took it each day as long as I DID take it.
